As a glaciologist i study our planet's ice, but my passion for protection is deeply personal. Losing my childhood home to fire showed me the devastating impact of a single spark. That experience now drives my mission at Firefly Coatings: helping families "fire harden" their homes to prevent loss. By preventing home fires, we also protect our atmosphere. Modern home materials "burn dirty," releasing massive black carbon that accelerates glacial melting. When I'm not working to save ice or homes, I'm outdoors with my animals, fueled by a lifelong passion for every living thing that calls this environment home.
